As Mechanical Support for EEI’s Mission Critical team, you will help commission, test, and document mechanical systems in data centers and other high-reliability facilities. Working alongside experienced commissioning professionals, you will gain hands-on exposure to HVAC systems, chilled water systems, cooling infrastructure, controls integration, and field testing activities. This role is suited to a developing technical professional, recent graduate, field technician, facilities operator, building engineer, military mechanical professional, or construction-minded candidate who enjoys learning in the field and wants to build a career in mission-critical commissioning and facility performance. The role has no supervisory responsibilities and reports to a Mechanical Lead or assigned project technical lead. The work combines office and field activities, with travel of up to 75%, depending on the project and individual location. Site visits may include data centers, mission-critical facilities, active construction environments, mechanical rooms, uneven ground, and varying weather conditions. Site inspections may involve walking project sites, climbing ladders, occasionally lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, and working in confined spaces when needed.
