About The Position

Fluidstack is seeking a Mechanical Supplier QA to own supplier quality for mechanical equipment, including CDUs, chillers, pumps, and piping packages, from qualification through delivery. This role involves running supplier audits and production readiness reviews before award, and conducting source inspections before anything ships. The successful candidate will set the inspection and test plans for suppliers, including factory acceptance test witness points, and drive root cause and corrective action on quality escapes, verifying fixes at the supplier floor. Fluidstack is focused on delivering large-scale compute infrastructure for AI, emphasizing speed and scale in their operations. They operate with extreme ownership, full autonomy, velocity, first principles thinking, and a passion for the problem space.

Requirements

• Experience in supplier quality for mechanical or HVAC equipment manufacturers, working on their floors.
• Experience witnessing factory acceptance tests and identifying failures when appropriate.
• Ability to write inspection plans from drawings and specs, not from templates.
• Proven ability to close corrective actions with evidence, and a track record of rare repeat escapes from suppliers.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with liquid cooling equipment.
• Familiarity with ASME and ISO quality systems.
• Experience with welding and brazing inspection.
• PPAP or APQP experience.
