About The Position

HGA is offering a paid summer internship opportunity for college or graduate school students in the summer of 2027. The internship is typically 12 weeks long, starting on or before June 1, 2027, and ending in mid-August. HGA is a full-service planning and design firm with over 1,000 professionals across 12 offices, providing planning, engineering, architecture, and interior design services. The firm is committed to meeting client sustainability goals and advancing the industry towards net-positive energy and carbon reduction through initiatives like the SE2050 challenge. Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in Architectural Engineering (mechanical systems emphasis preferred) or Mechanical Engineering.
• Enrolled in an ABET-accredited program.
• Entering junior year, senior year, or graduate school.
• Able to commute to and work from the office.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Experience with Revit.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Interest in building systems, sustainability, and energy-efficient design.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Trace 3D+ is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support HVAC analysis and design for building systems.
• Assist with plumbing and piping system design.
• Participate in sustainable design initiatives and LEED-related activities.
• Contribute to energy conservation and high-performance building projects.
• Gain exposure to multidisciplinary building engineering projects.
