About The Position

Volt is seeking an entry-level, first-shift Mechanical Repair Technician to support aerospace and defense programs in Santa Fe Springs, California. This is a full-time, long-term contract position with strong potential for conversion. The role involves inspecting, testing, calibrating, repairing, and assembling components and mechanisms according to procedures, technical data, tolerances, and product specifications. The listed pay rate is $22.75 per hour, and the schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, such as a U.S. GED.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming assemblies and components according to procedures and technical data.
• Set up repair and test facilities.
• Test and calibrate parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications.
• Repair units identified as failing test or tolerance levels.
• Assemble fabricated parts, components, or units at floor stations.
• Use hand and power tools for part and component assembly.
• Ensure short-cycle-time repairs and returns while maintaining quality processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
