About The Position

The Mechanical Product Engineer is accountable for designing and developing new products and redesigning existing products, overseeing prototype delivery and testing to verify form, fit, function, and quality. The role works with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, to specification, and within budget, while maintaining responsibility for engineering documentation, specifications, and project technical data. The engineer is expected to be innovative, comfortable working from a vision, able to manage multiple projects, and effective in a fast-paced environment. The position focuses on plastic component design and development using manufacturing processes such as high- and low-pressure injection molding, thermal forming, and additive manufacturing. It includes converting two-dimensional industrial designs into manufacturable three-dimensional components, applying mold flow analysis and shrink-rate calculations, and developing products and tooling to meet customer specifications. The engineer maintains CAD models and drawings, collaborates with global engineering teams, prepares project documentation, initiates components in Bosch’s SAP ERP system, and manages the Engineering Change Request process as required.
