About The Position

This role is responsible for ensuring a safe working environment, stable utilities and production equipment, and compliance with governmental requirements. The Mechanical Planning Engineer will ensure the smooth operation of equipment, provide support for abrupt equipment failures, and promote preventive maintenance management.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, understand, and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers, leadership, and customers.
  • At least 2 years of manufacturing experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or Graduate Degree in Engineering.
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Duties include turning at the waist, reaching, bending, squatting, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to pass static strength requirements (grip).
  • Visual acuity including: NEAR ACUITY, FAR ACUITY, DEPTH PERCEPTION, COLOR VISION, FIELD OF VISION.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with manufacturing software.
  • Familiar with basic structure and working principle of glass production equipment.
  • Familiar with the use, performance indicators, and unit price of various equipment.
  • Strong planning, organization, and coordination ability.
  • Familiar with basic knowledge and skills relating to electrics and machinery.
  • Familiar with glass production process.
  • Able to provide rational technical transformation plans.
  • Problem-analyzing and solving ability.

  • Familiar with maintenance management software and ERP software.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement equipment preventive and predictive maintenance plans, incorporating preventive maintenance measures.
  • Review and manage spare part reservation plans, utilizing value analysis and reliability modeling to control and improve spare parts inventory and reservation plans, ensuring spare part availability.
  • Apply methodologies such as FMEA and FRACAS to develop engineering solutions for repetitive failures and other problems affecting plant operations.
  • Statistically analyze the life cycle and wear performance of critical spare parts on production and utility equipment.
  • Manage equipment asset lists and maintenance plans, responsible for implementation, adjustment, and effectiveness verification.
  • Determine and assess technical criteria to evaluate vendors and suppliers for equipment installations, upgrades, and maintenance.
  • Manage department control documents according to Quality system, customer, and company requirements.
  • Oversee equipment 5S management, responsible for equipment 5S rectification and supervision.
  • Oversee equipment TPM management, responsible for equipment TPM rectification and supervision.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
