The Mechanical Engineer – will contribute to the mechanical design and development of Wearable Cardioverter Defibrillator products from the requirement stage through release to manufacturing. These components include molds, enclosures, interconnecting cables and garments. Activities include rapid prototyping, analysis, creating design documentation, project schedule development, and support. This is a mid-level position that will work under supervision.

Requirements

BSME or equivalent required
3-5 years of relevant overall experience, including:
2-3 years of experience designing complex plastic injection molded parts.
2-3 years of professional experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D modeling/drafting software, including demonstrated ability to produce high quality 2D specification drawings.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of 2 years of experience in electronics packaging design and manufacturing preferred

Responsibilities

Provide mechanical design, documentation and testing for medical products.
Create engineering and production drawings and documents.
Author and process change orders.
Design improvements to existing products.
Support design studies for future generation products.
Solve field issues that arise from complaints and manufacturing process problems.
Works under supervision on moderately complex projects with work checked on a regular basis.
