About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical / Piping Designer to support a variety of in-house engineering projects for our industrial clients. This role is primarily remote and offers flexibility for both full-time and part-time candidates. The ideal candidate will have experience in piping and mechanical system design within heavy industrial environments such as oil & gas, glass manufacturing, or mining.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in mechanical and/or piping design
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (Plant 3D or similar software experience preferred)
• Strong understanding of piping design standards, materials, and practices
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple priorities
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in industrial sectors such as oil & gas, glass, or mining preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop and revise piping and mechanical drawings, including P&IDs, isometrics, and general arrangement drawings
• Support in-house engineering projects from concept through execution
• Interpret and incorporate redlines, markups, and design changes from engineers and project managers
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure designs meet client specifications and industry standards
• Assist with the preparation of design packages for construction and fabrication
• Maintain drawing standards, document control, and revision tracking
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams as needed across various projects
