About The Position
An engineering consulting firm is seeking to hire an AutoCAD Drafter Detailer for mechanical piping and structural CAD detailing. This is a full-time permanent position with benefits. The role involves creating detailed structural, HVAC, and process piping routes, along with related technical drawings for construction projects using AutoCAD software. The designer will also update drawings based on redline revisions and generate basic material lists. Local candidates are preferred, and no relocation assistance is available. Candidates must pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen. Only U.S. Citizens or persons with a Green Card work permit may apply.
Requirements
- High School Graduate, GED, Vocational School and/or higher-level education
- AutoCAD proficient
- Only U.S. Citizens or persons with a Green Card work permit may apply.
- Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree in Drafting or technical training preferred
- SolidWorks CAD skills are a plus
- Understanding of structural engineering principles, building codes, and construction methods is preferred
- Understanding of piping components, symbols, and related drafting practices is preferred
