About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer plays a critical role in driving operational excellence by developing, optimizing, and sustaining efficient, safe, and high-quality manufacturing processes. This position partners closely with production, quality, and design engineering teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives and support the successful launch of new products. Through data-driven analysis, project leadership, and hands-on collaboration on the manufacturing floor, this role directly impacts product quality, cost, and on-time delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • 5–8 years of progressively responsible manufacturing engineering experience
  • Strong background in process improvement and operational excellence
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, and fabrication
  • CAD and Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Proven project management and cross-functional leadership skills
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing process improvements and driving operational excellence.
  • Experience with a variety of manufacturing processes listed above is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods, tool design, and production principles.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for design and process improvement.
  • Ability to read blueprints, drawings, or schematics.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and statistical analysis tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision making.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate across different departments and levels of the organization.
  • Project management skills to lead and coordinate process improvement projects effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Improve manufacturing processes for efficiency, quality, capacity, and safety
  • Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production and quality issues cross-functionally
  • Support cost analysis, production planning, and labor/material estimates
  • Develop manufacturing methods with design engineering for new products
  • Lead capital projects from concept through completion (scope, schedule, budget)
  • Support equipment selection, justification, and implementation
  • Create concept drawings for new or improved equipment
  • Conduct feasibility studies, simulations, and risk assessments
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, process flows, and work instructions
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
