About The Position

Avery Dennison is hiring a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join their team. In this role, you will act as a primary technical resource, driving equipment reliability, operational safety, and continuous improvement across their manufacturing facility. This position is for the Night Shift, Sunday – Friday, 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM.

Requirements

High School Diploma with 8+ years of verifiable mechanical machine repair experience OR an Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology / Journeyman Mechanical certification with 4+ years of experience.
Strong expertise in mechanical drive trains, bearing preloads, gear sets, drive alignment, and working knowledge of AC/DC drives.
High attention to detail, proactive curiosity for root-cause diagnosis, agility in shifting priorities, and a "Team Before Self" collaborative mindset.
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs and flexibility to work overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, ISO standards, or maintenance management software.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex mechanical drive systems, gear reducers, bearings, shaft alignments, and process/utility equipment.
Establish and execute mechanical inspection routes and preventive maintenance (PM) schedules to ensure plant uptime.
Lead situational problem-solving to identify root causes and resolve high-level mechanical issues.
Mentor and train shift maintenance technicians, sharing technical knowledge to build team capability.
Create and update technical documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Single Page Lessons, and red-line schematic changes.
