About The Position

Responsible for management and operations of all mechanical equipment at our property. Will work in conjunction with the Facilities Supervisors for the training and development of Facilities Team Members. This role requires maintaining a safe, clean, hazard-free workplace, cooperating and communicating with fellow team members, accepting direction from leadership, and reporting for work on time with flexibility for holidays, overtime, and changing hours. The technician must comply with established Company and departmental policies and procedures, inform leadership of pertinent information, and report any irregularities. Proficiency and accuracy in all job duties are expected, along with a commitment to improving job knowledge and performance. Adherence to the established work schedule and performing other duties as requested or assigned are also key. Ensures compliance with Virginia Lottery requirements and pertinent state gaming laws. This role involves the implementation and monitoring of the Preventive Maintenance System, interacting with contractors and vendors, providing "hands on" instruction in basic maintenance and trouble-shooting procedures, and developing and mentoring Facilities Team Members. Performing and/or delegating preventive maintenance tasks to the appropriately qualified team member is crucial. A complete knowledge of all building machinery, equipment, and systems is required, along with compliance with all local, state and federal codes and regulations. Management of all HVAC and mechanical equipment on property, plumbing and electrical is a primary responsibility. All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) to three (3) years’ experience preferable as a manager or supervisor.
  • Must have at least eight to ten years of facilities maintenance management experience in a complex “24/7” environment.
  • Gaming experience is a plus but resort, hotel, university, hospital or related “never close” operations experience also qualifies.
  • Experience with a facility larger than 200,000 square feet.
  • Must be able to show working knowledge of complex Building Management System programs and operations.
  • Must show full working knowledge of all but not limited to: Boilers, Chillers, Cooling Towers, VAV’s, VFD’s, Switchgear, Generators, Transfers Switches, Heat Exchangers, Pumps, etc.
  • Gaming license/registration as required by the Virginia Lottery.
  • Ability to be a TEAM player.
  • Ability to successfully fulfill the pre-employment process.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, climbing, reaching, lifting moderate to heavy weights, and using hand tools with dexterity, requiring good hand-eye coordination, and the ability to perform tasks in tight spaces while sometimes working in awkward positions.
  • Regularly lifting and moving objects ranging from light tools to heavy machine parts, with occasional need to lift heavier items with assistance.
  • Frequent standing, walking, climbing ladders, crawling, and maneuvering in tight spaces.
  • Precise hand movements to operate tools, tighten bolts, and manipulate small parts.
  • Reaching into tight areas and bending to access components of machinery.
  • Clear near and far vision to read gauges, inspect parts, and identify potential issues.
  • Ability to hear machinery sounds to detect malfunctions.
  • Regularly required to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work in an environment with moderate to loud noise, bright lights, smoke, and dust.
