About The Position

TRG is looking for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Specialist to join our team and help maintain one of the most advanced pieces of equipment in the corrugated packaging industry. TRG is home to the first BHS Jetliner Xceed digital preprint press installed and operating in the United States. This is not a typical printing machine. The Xceed is a highly automated, industrial single-pass inkjet printing system designed specifically for high-speed corrugated production. We are building the maintenance team for this technology from the ground up—and we're looking for a mechanically strong problem solver who wants to be part of that process. If you enjoy working on sophisticated industrial machinery, diagnosing problems, improving equipment reliability, and learning technology that very few people in the industry have experience with, this is an opportunity to make your mark.

Requirements

  • Mechanically strong problem solver
  • Experience working on sophisticated industrial machinery
  • Experience diagnosing problems
  • Experience improving equipment reliability
  • Experience with mechanical drawings, manuals, measurements, and systematic troubleshooting techniques
  • Experience maintaining and troubleshooting web-handling and paper-transport systems
  • Experience maintaining precision mechanical components
  • Experience performing mechanical adjustments and alignment
  • Experience troubleshooting pneumatic and vacuum systems
  • Experience assisting with equipment installations, modifications, upgrades, and commissioning activities
  • Experience maintaining accurate maintenance records and documenting recurring failures and corrective actions
  • Ability to work closely with electrical, controls, production, and technical personnel
  • Ability to participate in root-cause analysis and continuous improvement activities
  • Ability to help establish spare-parts requirements and critical-component inventories
  • Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

  • Diagnose equipment problems using mechanical drawings, manuals, measurements, and systematic troubleshooting techniques.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot web-handling and paper-transport systems.
  • Maintain precision mechanical components critical to high-speed printing and paper handling.
  • Inspect equipment for wear, alignment issues, vibration, contamination, and other developing problems.
  • Perform mechanical adjustments and alignment to maintain machine performance and print quality.
  • Support troubleshooting of pneumatic and vacuum systems.
  • Assist with equipment installations, modifications, upgrades, and commissioning activities.
  • Develop and improve preventive maintenance procedures as we establish the long-term maintenance program for the Xceed.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and document recurring failures and corrective actions.
  • Work closely with electrical, controls, production, and BHS technical personnel to resolve complex equipment issues.
  • Participate in root-cause analysis and continuous improvement activities.
  • Help establish spare-parts requirements and critical-component inventories.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Learn directly from BHS technical personnel.
  • Become one of a relatively small number of technicians with hands-on experience with the Xceed.
  • Help establish preventive and predictive maintenance standards.
  • Identify reliability improvements.
  • Develop troubleshooting procedures.
  • Help train future maintenance personnel.
  • Work with a highly automated production system operating at industrial production speeds.
