About The Position

Weyerhaeuser Company has an opening for a skilled Maintenance Multi-Craft Technician at their Arcadia Oriented Strand Board Mill (OSB) located in Simsboro, Louisiana. This role involves comprehensive knowledge of electrical & mechanical equipment, processes, and techniques to safely repair, modify, install, and maintain the facility and high-tech OSB manufacturing equipment. The Weyerhaeuser Arcadia OSB is located in Lincoln parish, approximately 20 minutes west of Ruston and 30 minutes east of Minden. The company offers a competitive starting wage along with Gainsharing bonus opportunities and benefits including 401K match, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage. The wage for this role is $35.68 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years maintenance millwright or electrical experience in an industrial environment.
Ability to work 12 hour rotating shifts, to include weekends and holidays as schedule requires.
Proficient in a minimum of two areas including electricity, electronics, PLC, logic, mechanical troubleshooting, power transmission, welding, and hydraulics.
Ability to read and understand blueprints, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics.
Experience using maintenance tools.
Ability to work at heights, and in extreme heat and cold conditions.
Personal and total commitment to observe all safety rules and regulations, to include ability to wear all required personal protective equipment.
Ability to pass a pre-employment technical test.

Nice To Haves

Vocational or technical school certificate in related area.
Experience with SAP or another CMMS.
PLC troubleshooting and/or programming experience.
Stable work history.

Responsibilities

Provide maintenance support to operations and lead preventative maintenance work.
Act promptly to meet mill needs in an environment where safety is always the lead consideration before performing any task.
Fully cross train in all areas of maintenance which includes but is not limited to, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic for both troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.
Attend training both onsite and offsite, as required.
Utilize computerized maintenance systems and demonstrate systemic troubleshooting decision making.
Actively participate in meetings, team feedback, & team building.
