About The Position

Weyerhaeuser Company has an opening for a skilled Maintenance Multi-Craft Technician at their Arcadia Oriented Strand Board Mill (OSB) located in Simsboro, Louisiana. This role involves providing maintenance support to operations and leading preventative maintenance work. The technician will be responsible for safely repairing, modifying, installing, and maintaining the facility and high-tech OSB manufacturing equipment. The position requires a comprehensive knowledge of electrical & mechanical equipment, processes, and techniques. The technician must demonstrate a willingness and ability to act promptly to meet mill needs in an environment where safety is always the lead consideration. The role involves full cross-training in all areas of maintenance, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems for both troubleshooting and preventative maintenance. The technician will utilize computerized maintenance systems and demonstrate systemic troubleshooting decision-making. This is a dedicated, self-motivated individual who will actively participate in meetings, team feedback, and team building. The wage for this role is $35.68 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years maintenance millwright or electrical experience in an industrial environment.
Ability to work 12 hour rotating shifts, to include weekends and holidays as schedule requires.
Proficient in a minimum of two areas including electricity, electronics, PLC, logic, mechanical troubleshooting, power transmission, welding, and hydraulics.
Must read and understand blueprints, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics.
Experience using maintenance tools.
Ability to work at heights, and in extreme heat and cold conditions.
Personal and total commitment to observe all safety rules and regulations, to include ability to wear all required personal protective equipment.
Ability to pass a pre-employment technical test.
Must attach a resume to application or include work history to be considered.

Nice To Haves

Vocational or technical school certificate in related area.
Experience with SAP or another CMMS.
PLC troubleshooting and/or programming experience.
Stable work history.
