About The Position

As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will perform mechanical maintenance on baggage handling systems (conveyance), overhead doors, security gates and passenger loading bridges. You will work with a crew that is responsible for the proper and timely completion of both corrective and preventive maintenance and answering trouble calls. You will perform other mechanical and metal work as required, including welding, burning, grinding, turning, cutting, threading, drilling, and shaping parts using both stationary and portable power and hand tools.

Requirements

• Five (5) years of experience performing both preventive and corrective maintenance at the journey person level on airport baggage handling systems (conveyors) or a manufacturing or production mechanical equipment environment.
• Strong skills as a machinist, welder, and mechanic.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals.
• Team-oriented, personable to work safely and effectively under considerable pressure with crewmembers of all crafts and airline customers to ensure the highest level of service from equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Structural welding certification.
• Knowledge of and experience working with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Experience with MS software.
