About The Position

The Mechanical Machine Technician configures machines to customer CNC lathe specifications. The work includes mechanical adjustments, disassembly and modification of mechanical sub-assemblies, and installation and testing of machine accessories. The role also requires performing some basic wiring on machines’ high-voltage and 24-volt communication systems.

The technician works with a team integrating Edge and FMB product lines with CNC lathe technologies. Edge Technologies describes itself as a provider of machine-tool automation and peripheral equipment for the metalworking industry, with a customer-first culture and commitment to excellence.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in machine building or automotive repair.
• Above-average mechanical ability and skill with hand and power tools.
• Professional work habits.
• Proficiency using a multimeter and following wiring diagrams or schematics to perform basic wiring.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Technical school certificate in a related discipline; equivalent demonstrated practical experience is acceptable.
• Knowledge of overhead crane operation.
• Fork truck experience.
• Commercial driver’s license.
• Willingness and ability to learn more advanced wiring and troubleshooting techniques with training.
