Conducts performance and reliability testing on engines, components, systems, and controls. This role involves configuring and operating data acquisition systems, analyzing data, writing computer programs for analysis, configuring engine test programs, interpreting results, and documenting findings. The technician will also perform rig, engine, and component builds, tear downs, and inspections, as well as fabricate necessary parts. They will install engines and instrumentation in test cells and rigs, use common tools, design and execute test plans, and prepare test reports. The position requires understanding and applying company and department guidelines, working with and training apprentices, interfacing with customers and engineers, coordinating programs, and participating in quality procedures and improvement projects. The role also involves developing and giving presentations and ensuring compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
