Opportunity Overview We are seeking an inspiring Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead and grow a diverse team of mechanical, thermal, and mechanical quality engineers supporting Teradyne's Memory Test Division. This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for an accomplished engineering professional who is passionate about developing people, driving technical excellence, and influencing the future of advanced semiconductor test equipment. You will play a critical role in building organizational capability while guiding multiple simultaneous, complex, cross-functional development programs that deliver next-generation Automated Test Equipment (ATE) solutions. As a leader within a growing organization, you will help establish engineering rigor, develop scalable processes, and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration. Beyond leading your direct team, you will help shape strategic initiatives that influence a broader mechanical engineering community of more than 100 engineers. You will partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders across engineering, product development, manufacturing, and business leadership to deliver solutions involving: High-performance thermal management systems Advanced liquid cooling technologies Precision electromechanical assemblies High-speed signal delivery solutions Next-generation semiconductor test architectures This position offers exceptional visibility, meaningful impact, significant growth potential, and the opportunity to help build both a world-class team and industry-leading technology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in mechanical product design and development
  • 5+ years of technical project leadership experience managing complex, multidisciplinary programs
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional engineering initiatives
  • Strong experience with mechanical design, thermal systems, and product development processes
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment across multiple organizations
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and team development skills

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Previous people management experience (2-3+ years preferred)
  • Experience developing semiconductor capital equipment, automation systems, or complex hardware platforms
  • Automated Test Equipment (ATE) industry experience
  • Expertise in thermal management, liquid cooling systems, precision electromechanical design, or high-speed hardware development
