About The Position

The Shipboard Effectors AUR (SEA) Department is seeking a Mechanical Engineering intern to support design, development, and production efforts in areas such as mechanical systems, materials, test equipment, hardware processes, or manufacturing processes. This is an ON-SITE role within the SEA Team in Tucson, AZ. You will apply your skills to contribute to the design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electro-mechanical systems, instruments, controls, and/or machines.

Requirements

Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
Experience utilizing CAD (Computer Aided Design)
Experience in CREO
Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Nice To Haves

3.5 or above cumulative GPA desired
Prior engineering project or internship experience
Microsoft Office or other presentation tools
Experience developing and delivering presentations (verbal and/or written)

Responsibilities

Training and application of CREO and PDM
Design and Documentation support utilizing engineering tools, Adobe, and MS office suite.
Engineering Change and Drawing Release
Collaboration with coworkers and diverse teams.
Analytical and Technical engineering work within a program environment with possible presentations on designs as needed.
Training on Raytheon processes and procedures
