About The Position

Gain hands-on experience using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office while supporting real-world maintenance and engineering projects. You’ll build valuable project management, problem-solving, and collaboration skills while learning to work both independently and as part of a team. This is a year-round internship with a part-time schedule (15-20 hours/week) during the academic year and a full-time schedule (40 hours/week) during the summer. The internship is located in Saukville, WI, and starts in May 2027.

Requirements

Enrollment in a four-year degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
Proficient in Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
Ability to succeed in a team environment.
Ability to handle multiple tasks.

Nice To Haves

Advanced Excel and analyst skills.
AutoCAD experience.
Exposure to Lean manufacturing and Continuous Improvement Tools.

Responsibilities

Partner with the Maintenance Mechanical Engineer on hands-on engineering projects throughout the processing plant.
Support machine design and equipment upgrades, including part design and plant layout improvements.
Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on enhancing plant operations, safety, and efficiency.
Incorporate safety and environmental considerations into equipment and process designs.
Collaborate with engineers and maintenance teams to support projects from design through implementation.
