About The Position

Elessent Clean Technologies is a global leader in process technologies focused on sustainability and carbon neutrality across various industries like metal, fertilizer, chemical, and oil refining. We offer expertise in sulfuric acid production (MECS®), alkylation (STRATCO®), wet scrubbing (BELCO®), and hydroprocessing (IsoTherming®). Elessent is seeking bright, talented, and motivated students for a rewarding internship experience in our Clean Technologies Engineering organization during the Summer of 2027. This approximately 10-week program offers meaningful assignments in process design, allowing students to integrate classroom knowledge with practical application and demonstrate their skills for potential future careers at Elessent. Interns will collaborate with our teams, providing support and assistance to achieve business strategy goals.

Requirements

  • Pursuit of a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related degree from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Completed at least the first semester of their Junior year.
  • Currently enrolled, and in good standing, in a post-secondary education and/or technical certificate program in a field related to the work done in the department.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Self-motivated and eager learner, with an aptitude to grow and develop within the field.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring future sponsorship for employment visa status.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of a 3.0 GPA is strongly preferred.
  • Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
  • Actively involved in campus, community, or other volunteer activities or organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with tasks that may include filing, scanning, data entry, documentation, and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Assist with responses to general questions.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts by collecting and analyzing data.
  • Research solutions to project concerns; analyze and recommend solutions to problems.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
  • All other duties as assigned.
