Requirements

  • Enrolled in an ABET-accredited undergraduate or graduate program in Mechanical Engineering program.
  • Basic understanding and demonstrated interest in mechanical engineering design principles.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong data analysis, written, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu pdf reader, technical drawing reading, report writing & formatting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support staff developing AutoCAD standards and design calculations for the hydropower team.
  • Learn and apply the technical requirements and design criteria for design projects.
  • Participate in technical meetings and discussions.
  • Field work and site visit opportunities available.
  • Prepare and present a PowerPoint summarizing the assigned tasks at the completion of the internship to hydropower team.
