Requirements

  • Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
  • Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session.
  • Experience with mechanical hardware documentation or drawing standards.
  • Must possess or have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret or Top Secret clearance.
  • Selected candidate will be subject to security investigations/reinstatements and must meet eligibility requirements.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1.

Nice To Haves

  • Possess an active U.S. government issued Secret or Top Secret clearance.
  • Familiarity with Solidworks is a plus.
  • Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.

Responsibilities

  • With technical supervision, apply research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems.
  • Work with engineers and designers to produce models for components, parts, subassemblies, and assemblies.
  • With technical oversight, execute tests for systems, subsystems, and components.
  • Analyze test results in relation to design or rated specifications and test objectives.
  • Communicate effectively in a cross-functional team.
