About The Position

ASP is looking for a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join us for summer 2026! During their 10-week internship, this Mechanical Engineering Intern will be responsible for supporting design and development of mechanical systems and components for medical devices. They will work under the guidance of an Engineering Manager to deliver designs, documentation, and testing aligned with their project goals.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field, graduating December 2026 or later.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and GD&T principles.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Uses general hand and laboratory tools.

Responsibilities

  • Support design and development of mechanical systems and components.
  • Create 3D models and detailed drawings using CAD tools.
  • Assist in generating requirements and documentation.
  • Execute test protocols and analyze results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Apply FBS tools for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Performs Failure Analyses and Investigation reports.
