This internship is an opportunity to develop engineering data packages to support the development and certification of various aircraft modifications. This includes engineering design, technical analysis, and airworthiness certification activities. Various disciplines requiring support include Hydraulics, Landing Gear, Doors, Flight Controls, Propulsion, Environmental Control and supporting Installation Structure.

Requirements

  • Current engineering undergraduate student

  • Preference to students who are completing an aerospace or mechanical engineering degree.

Responsibilities

  • Support reviewing vendor requirement specifications, design documentation including engineering drawings, modification summary packages and vendor equipment qualification reports.
  • Support Design Change Proposals.
  • Support engineering drawing and CATIA computer system modeling change and review.
  • Support aircraft test programs including writing Test Definition Sheets, aircraft equipment integration, aircraft test witnessing and subsequent test report development and review.
  • Support preparing and defining Technical Requirement Documents and Engineering Technical Assessments.
  • Support evaluating vendor technical proposals, internal Program Change Requests and Engineering Change Notices.
  • Support preparing technical reports to show compliance to the applicable certification requirements.
  • Ensure airworthiness is maintained per required regulations.
