Dewberry is seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented Mechanical Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to work with a project team and assist in the design of building mechanical system projects for our Raleigh, NC office. Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering or similar equivalent
• A valid driver’s license is required.

Nice To Haves

• Previous internship experience with a consulting engineering firm, a plus
• Certification as an Engineering Intern (NCEES) and experience with Revit, AutoCAD, MS Word and MS Excel is a plus.
• Strong written and oral communication and organizational skills are important throughout the design and construction process.
• Occasional travel might be required.

Responsibilities

• The position requires a strong technical background, excellence in design, attention to detail and quality control, and the ability to work in a team environment.
• Projects may include; new multi-building facilities, retrofit projects, laboratory, mission critical facilities, as well as energy conservation studies, facility condition assessments, and due diligence reports addressing operating conditions and construction costs.
