About The Position
Flex is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Co-Op for its Libertyville, IL site for the Spring 2027 semester. This role supports the engineering team with daily tasks, offering a learning opportunity to collaborate with Engineers and cross-functional teams. The co-op will assist with time studies, documentation review, writing instructions, researching equipment, designing experiments, and reporting findings. Requirements
- Current BS/MS student pursuing Mechanical Engineering major
- 2D and 3D CAD tools (AutoCAD, Inventor or Solidworks) experience
- Available to work 40 hours/week (in-person) for the Spring 2027 co-op assignment
- Currently enrolled in 4-year accredited university
- 3.0 minimum GPA

- Highly collaborative, creative and excellent communication skills
- Previous co-op/internship experience a plus!
Responsibilities
- Assist Engineering Team with time studies, reviewing documentation, drawings and CAD
- Assist in writing working instructions, check lists and other documents related to manufacturing equipment
- Help research and recommend support equipment required for continuous production
- Help design and monitor Engineering DOE (Design Of Experiment) projects
- Collaborate with Engineering Team with writing reports and reporting findings to team
- Attend team meetings and support project work as needed
