About The Position

Under supervision of the Principal Engineer, Engineering Manager, or Engineering Director, employee will perform fundamental engineering tasks related to the design, development, and manufacturing of gas lift products intended for downhole artificial lift applications. Must possess basic engineering and mechanical ability to gain the expertise required to meet the company’s engineering needs. Person to learn and become proficient in gas lift, chemical injection and additional equipment design and manufacturing related to company business. Create engineering layouts for form, fit, and functional checks in assemblies. Perform theoretical pressure and tensile calculations as needed for development of certain products. Perform testing and prepare design files for API validations as well as for standard products. Manage standard operating processes associated with product launches and ECN. Work on engineering projects as assigned by supervisor, which will include having prototypes built, assembling and testing prototypes to an agreed upon test procedure. Perform digital twin analysis (FEA and/or CFD) on equipment to ensure design capabilities. Reports to the Principal Engineer, Engineering Manager, or Engineering Director, but works closely with all areas of company, as needed. Work assignments should be carried out to the highest level of quality. Candidate must understand and comply with all company safety policies. Must have excellent communication skills: oral and written, with employees and customers. Must be proficient in English, oral and written. After training, must be capable and willing to write technical and engineering reports and present such reports to customers, employees, and others. Person must have initiative, be motivated, and have leadership ability. Must have a positive attitude, and willing to work with others in getting the job done. Person must be capable and willing to learn new things, enjoy doing varied duties, and become cross- trained to perform proficiently several different functions within the company – “wear many hats”, and enjoy doing so. Person must be organized, and have ability to handle multiply duties, without frustration. Must be able to handle pressure and adapt quickly to changing circumstances.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited college.
  • Working knowledge of Solidworks or alternative CAD/FEA packages.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent communication skills: oral and written.
  • Proficient in English, oral and written.
  • Ability to handle pressure and adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
  • Ability to handle multiple duties without frustration.
  • Organized.
  • Initiative, motivation, and leadership ability.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to work with others.
  • Capable and willing to learn new things and become cross-trained.
  • Ability to stand, use hand tools, and carry loads of up to 50lbs.
  • Comply with all company safety policies.

Nice To Haves

  • Mechanical Engineering degree is preferred.
  • Masters level preferred.
  • Ability and capacity to draft white papers.
  • Understanding of Petroleum Engineering, especially Gas Lift technologies.
  • Capable of performing independently as well as within a tight knit team.
  • Operating heavy machinery (training will be provided).
  • Operating specific machinery (training will be provided).
