About The Position

Komline is a leader in advanced separation technologies, known for engineering excellence and delivering high-quality equipment. The company serves core markets including Water & Process, Agricultural & Renewables, and Industrials. Komline-Henry has developed patented industrial coolant filtration products and uses 3D software for customer demonstrations. The Mechanical Engineer will create equipment drawings and design concepts under senior staff guidance, and will also produce technical documentation and manuals.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 3+ years of experience in a mechanical engineering or design engineering role
• Demonstrated skills in mechanical design with a knowledge of mechanical systems and principles
• Experience with drafting software such as SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor
• Knowledge of stress analysis and materials selection
• Familiarity with a wide variety of fabrication, machining, and manufacturing methods
• Understanding of streamlining engineering processes, implementing products, and process improvements
• Ability to travel domestically on occasion
• Ability to lift parts with or without assistance up to 30lbs

Responsibilities

• Perform routine design changes and improvements to rotating equipment, including auxiliary equipment like controllers, oilers, and electrical systems.
• Design robust and cost-effective improvements of assigned products, focusing on engineering, problem-solving, customer needs, and situational climate.
• Develop specific engineered solutions for customer projects.
• Write and edit technical manuals, coordinating with stakeholders for documentation.
• Lead cost reduction efforts by interacting with manufacturing, marketing, and engineering.
• Implement best practices for design, drafting, manufacturing, and sales.
