This role provides technical support to Lead personnel and setup personnel as needed, works on specific engineering projects, has a thorough knowledge of blueprint reading and works with CNC programmers.

Requirements

Minimum 2 yrs. experience working as a CNC Lathe & Mill Programmer from blueprint to first article.
Software: SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of engineering principles, especially related to machining manufacturing methods and featuring.
Ability to solve machining problems using proven problem solving methods.
Knowledge of continuous improvement, and Lean Processes.
Strong written and verbal skills.
Good interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels in the organization while remaining customer oriented.
Ability to multi-task, with good organization, attention to detail and ability to prioritize.
Applies proven technology independently.
Self-starter capable of solving complex problems with little supervision.

Responsibilities

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Provides accurate and timely programming of all CNC Program Systems and CNC Work Centers as assigned, from blueprint to first article.
Provides technical support to Lead personnel and setup personnel as needed, including training on set ups, program changes, as well as assisting in resolving problems to avoid production delays.
Insures accuracy of jobs through the shop by identifying and correcting errors and/or changes on prints when needed.
Researches and applies knowledge of various materials, insert grades and the tooling required in all machining operations.
Has a thorough knowledge of blueprint reading and has the ability to interpret drawings.
Accurately operates and understands all aspects of multi axis CNC.
Provides estimated cycle times to Engineering personnel as requested.
Designs fixtures, tools, and dies for all areas of production as assigned. Coordinates with all parties involved.
Works with CNC programmers, setup and machine operators to optimize machining processes and tooling.
Works on specific engineering projects as assigned by manager.
