About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer. The position will be based at our facility in Sumter, SC. We are offering relocation assistance for candidates who reside within the U.S. Sponsorship support is available too. The expected annual salary range for this role is $71000 - $105000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution OR currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program in Engineering from an accredited institution with a graduation date in May 2026.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, persuasive skills, and analytical problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in verbal & written communications, organizational & computer skills
  • Work with individuals and groups to effectively participate within team environment.
  • Expected to work with some degree of independence and make decisions that affect the workgroup.
  • Focus efforts on attaining assigned goals and objectives, which include meeting needs and expectations of internal and external customers.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with MRP/ERP Systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Autodesk (AutoCAD and 3D Inventor)
  • Experience with technical and application knowledge of switchboards

Responsibilities

  • Verify that complete and accurate order entry information has been received for incoming switchboard orders.
  • Prepare Manufacturing Information (MI) for switchboards, utilizing Bid Manager, AutoCAD, and Plant Order Manager.
  • Identify and design special fabricated parts required using ACAD and 3-D modeling systems (Auto-Desk Inventor, etc.), ensuring that MI’s are completed and the material is routed accordingly to the appropriate assembly team.
  • Interface with customers, channel partners, Field-Sales, and EatonCare through participation in plant visits, training support and customer events.
  • Provide input to Product Line development teams on design and pick table enhancements.
  • Support and assist assembly teams in resolution of process and/or information quality problems.
  • Support Satellite Plants thru design review and product implementation.
