About The Position

Our team is looking for an Entry Level Mechanical Engineer to join the team in Summer 2027. Responsible for project support of the mechanical effort on Oil & Gas projects including: Compressor Stations, Meter Stations, Pump Stations, Pipeline Installation, Natural Gas Processing Plants, Central Gathering Facilities. Responsible for working directly with fellow members of the mechanical engineering team & mechanical design team for project execution support. Ability to travel to support field work activities (including site commissioning).

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering with a graduation
  • Engineering experience in the design of mechanical engineering systems for non-commercial, heavy industrial plants (power plant - essential, oil & gas, or chemical - valued), with a focus on integrated, detailed system design for new plants, modifications, or replacements
  • Experience must include the selection of equipment, piping materials, control philosophy, and the preparation of supporting calculations and specifications
  • Customer service oriented with a passion for high customer satisfaction and achieving project execution excellence
  • Ability to interact with all levels of staff including senior management, clients, and other disciplines
  • Ability to analyze, define, and solve problems
  • Ability to prioritize workflow, multitask, meet deadlines, and remain flexible
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s of Science degree from an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program
  • Oil and Gas industry experience in midstream and/or upstream desirable
  • Knowledge of Mechanical Equipment and Piping systems desirable
  • Programming or scripting (e.g., Python, MATLAB, advanced Excel) to automate calculations, design checks, reporting, or data transformation is valued but not required
  • Additional learning, such as a minor, certificate, or other training in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or related fields that helps you apply automation or agentic AI to real engineering problems

Responsibilities

  • Project support of the mechanical effort on Oil & Gas projects
  • Working directly with fellow members of the mechanical engineering team & mechanical design team for project execution support
  • Ability to travel to support field work activities (including site commissioning)
  • Engineering experience including: P&IDs, Process/Hydraulic Calculations, Engineering Evaluations
  • Ability and willingness to take direction from senior staff and ask questions to ensure quality deliverables
  • Review & preparation of line lists & equipment lists
  • Review of project isometrics to make sure they comply with project requirements set forth by the client
  • Ability to effectively communicate within project team to resolve project issues
  • Work with Mechanical Engineering team for successful execution of projects while continuing to learn and develop
  • Take engineering problems from issue to solution using data and modern tools such as automation and AI to improve workflows, reduce rework, and deliver cost-effective designs
  • Build or use automation to create calculations, summarize technical documents, or draft design documentation, including appropriate use of agentic AI tools, with strong engineering judgment and verification of results
