About The Position

The Mechanical Engineer, Product Engineering for Single-Port Accessories provides engineering support across Intuitive’s accessories portfolio. The work includes product improvements that reduce cost and improve manufacturability to support significant volume growth, as well as enhancements to reliability and usability. The role calls for ownership, high-quality work, continuous improvement, and the ability to bring cross-functional teams together in a fast-paced environment. Accessories interface with the da Vinci system and are used directly by customers during surgical procedures, making their performance important to customer satisfaction and patient outcomes. The engineer works on multidisciplinary teams to design, develop, document, test, and sustain mechanical components and assemblies for surgical system accessories, while supporting clinical and human-factors evaluations and transferring designs into production.
