About The Position

Noblis MSD is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCPD) in their missions. This role involves providing support to various ship programs for the US Navy, focusing on submarine hull, mechanical, and electrical system projects. The engineer will be involved in engineering analysis, technical evaluation, systems development, and testing. This is a hybrid position requiring onsite presence 3+ days a week.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering
Three (3) years’ experience in an Engineering or Information Systems discipline
Travel approximately 20%
US citizen with a DoD Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance

Responsibilities

Support submarine hull, mechanical, and electrical system projects through engineering analysis, technical evaluation, and hands-on involvement in systems development and testing.
Support technical evaluations of conceptual designs and conduct design analyses for submarine systems.
Perform prototype development, equipment testing, refinement, assembly/disassembly, and validation testing while ensuring compliance with Navy specifications and engineering standards.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, engineering specifications, and procedures in accordance with Navy regulations and current standards.
Participate in shipboard and on-site activities including installation, modification, troubleshooting, and system commissioning of communication and mechanical systems.
Assist with engineering material management including specification review, procurement support, and configuration tracking.
Conduct systems troubleshooting and root cause analysis for mechanical and electrical system issues.
Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges and improve system performance.
