Requirements

Bachelor's degree, diploma, or equivalent practical experience in mechanical or civil engineering.
Demonstrable professional engineering experience with strong proficiency in 3D CAD modeling software.
Working knowledge of common communication protocols, including CAN, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and Serial.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively across a global engineering network.
Practical dexterity and fitness required to work safely in a hands-on machine testing environment.

Nice To Haves

Hands-on experience operating heavy construction machinery or working with hydraulic systems.
Background in sheet metal design, cable assembly design, or basic control and position system theory.
Current construction safety certification.

Responsibilities

Document complex mechanical systems through 3D solid models, detailed assembly layouts, and comprehensive bill of materials.
Perform hands-on design verification, FEA simulation optimization, and mechanical qualification testing for new product introduction.
Execute and document on-machine tests, troubleshooting complex control systems directly on various construction machines.
Conduct machine set-ups and tear-downs for prototype evaluations, proof of concept testing, and field demonstrations.
Collaborate with cross-functional support and sales teams to define regional product needs and drive corrective action plans.
