We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our innovative Product Engineering team and play a critical role in the development of next-generation medical devices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 8+ years of product design and development experience.
- Experience in FDA-regulated environments.
- Advanced proficiency with NX or comparable 3D CAD software.
- Experience with Teamcenter or similar PLM systems.
- Strong GD&T, FMEA, DFMA, and manufacturing knowledge.
- Strong electromechanical design experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Master's Degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Experience developing Class II or Class III medical devices.
- Experience leading products through the full development lifecycle.
- Advanced Siemens NX and Teamcenter expertise.
- Hands-on FEA and CFD simulation experience.
- Knowledge of ISO 14971 risk management methodologies.
- Experience with FDA Design Controls and IEC standards.
- Expertise with motors, drives, sensors, actuators, and motion control systems.
- Knowledge of reliability engineering and accelerated life testing.
- Experience supporting global manufacturing and supplier qualification.
- Lean Six Sigma, Agile, or PMP certifications are a plus.
- Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical reviews.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of complex mechanical and electro-mechanical subsystems.
- Drive product development activities from concept, prototyping, verification, validation, and production release.
- Perform engineering analysis, tolerance stack-ups, and design reviews.
- Create and approve engineering drawings utilizing GD&T best practices.
- Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions.
- Partner with suppliers, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, and service teams.
- Execute verification testing and document results for regulatory compliance.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor junior engineers.
