About The Position

Teradyne is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its Mechanical Engineering group in North Reading, Massachusetts. The team develops semiconductor test equipment and next-generation tester platforms. The engineer will create technically sound solutions to complex engineering problems, define product requirements, identify technical risks, evaluate design trade-offs, and collaborate with Product Marketing, Systems Engineering, product development teams, and global suppliers. The work supports New Product Introduction and high-volume manufacturing. The role covers scalable electromechanical architectures for semiconductor test platforms, precision mass-termination and docking solutions, and component- and subsystem-level design challenges. It involves CAD and simulation-based design analysis, design reviews, cross-disciplinary coordination, supplier development, and consideration of reliability, thermal performance, end-user constraints, cost, and time to market. The engineer may also contribute to technical roadmaps, intellectual property, publications, and presentations. This is a fully qualified to advanced professional role.
