About The Position

The RF Systems Engineer is a senior technical role responsible for defining the direction of RF instrumentation across Teradyne’s Automated Test Equipment (ATE) platforms. The role owns instrument- and platform-level architecture choices and translates emerging semiconductor technologies, wireless standards, customer applications, and market needs into RF test capabilities and product strategies. The engineer applies RF and measurement expertise and systems-level judgment to drive architecture decisions, define system requirements, and negotiate technical trade-offs across hardware, software, firmware, calibration, test methodology, and applications. The role balances performance, feasibility, cost, schedule, scalability, and business objectives while supporting long-term RF product and platform strategies. Throughout the product lifecycle, the RF Systems Engineer serves as a technical product champion, working with Marketing, Applications, Design Engineering, Program Management, and customers to turn evolving test challenges into product concepts and development plans. The position is based in North Reading, Massachusetts, is limited to candidates local to the position, and does not provide relocation or sponsorship. Domestic and international travel of up to 10% is required.
