About The Position

Reputable firm looking to add a talented Senior Mechanical Engineer/Project Manager to their Madison office! This role is responsible for project engineering and management, serving as a technical resource, mentoring junior staff, leading business development activities, and representing the firm. The salary is commensurate with experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or architectural engineering
• 7+ years of experience of design experience in the design and specification of HVAC systems for a variety of building types
• PE License in Wisconsin
• Successful applicants must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• PE License in other Midwest states preferred
• Experience leading/mentoring staff preferred
• Commissioning experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Responsible for project engineering and management (project oversight, setting priorities, and developing objectives, project financial management, hands-on involvement in design process)
• Serve as a technical resource to mechanical and plumbing team members
• Mentor/train junior staff
• Lead business development activities: Proposal preparation, Project interviews/presentations, Client management
• Build/maintain client relationships
• Represent the firm at industry events, professional associations, and community activities
• Participate in professional societies
