About The Position
Reputable firm looking to add a talented Senior Mechanical Engineer/Project Manager to their Madison office! This role is responsible for project engineering and management, serving as a technical resource, mentoring junior staff, leading business development activities, and representing the firm at industry events.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or architectural engineering
- 7+ years of experience of design experience in the design and specification of HVAC systems for a variety of building types
- PE License in Wisconsin
- Successful applicants must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.
Nice To Haves
- PE License in other Midwest states preferred
- Experience leading/mentoring staff preferred
- Commissioning experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Responsible for project engineering and management (project oversight, setting priorities, and developing objectives, project financial management, hands-on involvement in design process)
- Serve as a technical resource to mechanical and plumbing team members
- Mentor/train junior staff
- Lead business development activities: Proposal preparation, Project interviews/presentations, Client management
- Build/maintain client relationships
- Represent the firm at industry events, professional associations, and community activities
- Participate in professional societies
