About The Position

Northrop Grumman is seeking Mechanical Engineers for a summer internship with its Space sector in Manhattan Beach, California. Interns will support the mechanical engineering team with CAD modeling, engineering drawings, and design revisions for electronic components and assemblies. They will collaborate with engineers to document designs, incorporate redlines, and help ensure accuracy and adherence to engineering standards throughout the design process. The internship requires full-time work for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027, and the intern must be enrolled full-time in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program in fall 2027.

Requirements

• Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited college or university, and plan to be enrolled full-time in fall 2027.
• Major in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) degree.
• Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.
• Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance and Program Special access within a reasonable period, as determined by the company; U.S. citizenship is required.

• Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher.
