About The Position

As a Mechanical Engineer III, you will perform engineering tasks under minimal guidance that are varied and complex, requiring troubleshooting and interpretation of data, development of new test methods or procedures, and application to a variety of situations. You will plan, execute, and organize detailed design development as part of major projects of significant scope. This role involves conducting and/or specifying complex tests using advanced techniques to resolve customer concerns/problems, preparing technical reports based on results, and applying advanced computer-aided engineering analysis techniques. You will adhere to new product development processes, recommend methods of manufacture, modify analysis techniques when necessary, and evaluate product failures using advanced engineering techniques. Additionally, you will compile and analyze test results, formulate conclusions, make recommendations, partner with project management and other departments, recommend improvements for operations and equipment, develop engineering test standards, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Five years of professional engineering experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of engineering concepts, practices and procedures and other internal engineering standards and systems
  • Strong knowledge of engineering systems
  • Strong knowledge of company and competitor’s products and technical abilities of suppliers
  • Well-developed understanding of company processes and procedures including, but not limited to new product development process
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong written communication skills necessary for technical report writing
  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
  • Five years of professional engineering experience
  • EducationBachelor's Degree in Engineering or Mechanical EngineeringUniversity degree

Responsibilities

  • Conducts and/or specifies complex tests using advanced techniques to resolve customer concerns/problems; prepares technical reports based on results
  • Applies advanced computer-aided engineering analysis techniques to resolve customer concerns/problems
  • Adheres to new product development processes as it relates to concept analysis, business case, product development, pre-production and post launch steps; recommends methods of manufacture during the design of new products and design modifications or process changes based on cost/design studies
  • Modifies analysis techniques when necessary to solve more complex problems
  • Evaluates product failures using advanced engineering techniques
  • Compiles and analyzes test results; formulates conclusions and makes appropriate recommendations
  • Partners with project management, business units, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, etc.
  • Recommends improvements and/or modifications for sequence of operations, equipment utilization and related matters
  • Develops engineering test standards where applicable
  • Performs other duties as assigned
