Verathon is looking for a Mechanical Engineer II to become the newest member of our Urology R&D team located in Bothell, WA. This role is expected to work primarily on-site at our Bothell facility and will design and develop mechanical systems and components for an exciting program targeted at improving patient outcomes in bladder volume measurement using ultrasound technology - offering the opportunity to contribute to Verathon's market-leading BladderScan product line within Verathon's established new product development framework. The Mechanical Engineer II is responsible for mechanical design, analysis, and development of medical device components and subsystems. This includes contributing to the translation of system requirements into detailed mechanical designs, conducting engineering analysis (stress, thermal, tolerance), developing and testing prototypes, supporting design verification and validation testing, and ensuring designs are manufacturable and meet regulatory compliance standards. Utilizing Verathon's NPD process and Quality Management System, the Mechanical Engineer II works on problems of moderate scope and builds productive working relationships across systems engineering, electrical engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
