The Mechanical Engineer II role is a professional level position responsible for performing and analyzing routine to moderately complex engineering functions while applying mathematical, physical science, and engineering technologies. These functions include quality control function designs, and specifications while achieving cost-effective and reliable manufacturing and measuring processes. The E21 Department is looking for a Machining Process Engineer who will serve as the technical bridge between design, production, and the shop floor. You will partner daily with machinists to diagnose and resolve complex machining challenges, drive continuous process improvements, and provide hands‑on support for manufacturing of precision components. Unlike many engineering roles that are desk‑bound, you’ll spend over 50% of your time on the manufacturing floor, directly influencing product quality and throughput. You will work with design, quality, and supply‑chain teams, expanding your skill set beyond traditional machining. You will have access to operating state‑of‑the‑art CNC equipment, rapid‑prototyping tools, and a culture that rewards process breakthroughs.
