About The Position

Our Mechanical Engineering team is responsible for delivering the physical housing and infrastructure that power Cisco's global services. Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in one of the following: An undergraduate degree program (Associate's or Bachelor's) with 2 years of work experience; or A Master’s degree program with 0 years of work experience.
  • Qualifying education should be in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Expected to continue enrollment in degree program following completion of the internship.
  • Previous experience with CAD design tools, mechanical systems, or hardware packaging in an academic, project, or professional capacity.
  • Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and technical problem-solving

Nice To Haves

  • Experience performing mechanical simulations or utilizing analysis software tools.
  • Familiarity with prototype fabrication techniques such as 3D printing or precision machining.
  • Exposure to hardware testing and debugging methodologies in a laboratory setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and generate detailed technical drawings.
  • Ability to actively contribute to the goals of multi-functional project teams.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and analysis of mechanical systems and packaging.
  • Participate in feasibility studies and testing for new and modified designs.
  • Prepare detailed design documentation for product fabrication.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to resolve infrastructural specifications.
