Today, ECG has four facilities operating in Pennsylvania. We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer at Ellwood Crankshaft & Machine in Hermitage and Sharon, PA. This salaried, exempt position is critical for the daily operation and continuing growth of world class finish machine capabilities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in mechanical design and manufacturing, preferably in crankshaft or large component manufacturing.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and machining techniques.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the engineering team to design large crankshafts that meet performance specifications.
Utilize CAD software to create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings.
Conduct simulations and stress analysis to ensure durability and performance.
Oversee the manufacturing processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards and production schedules.
Work closely with production teams to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during fabrication and assembly.
Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Establish and maintain quality control procedures to ensure all crankshafts meet industry standards and specifications.
Conduct inspections and testing of finished products, utilizing measuring tools and equipment.
Analyze data and prepare reports on product performance and quality metrics.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and maintenance, to achieve project goals.
Communicate technical information effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
Participate in project planning, including scope definition, resource allocation, and timeline management.
Monitor project progress and report on key milestones and deliverables.
