About The Position

This engineer is responsible for the structural design and reliability of refrigerated systems.

Requirements

• Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Requires 1+ years of experience
• Understanding of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
• Able to work well with others both in and outside of the department
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Sense of ownership & urgency with projects and work assignments.
• Possess good working knowledge of the following software: S-Excel, 3D Modeling (SolidWorks, SolidEdge, Pro-E, etc…), AutoCAD, MS-PowerPoint, MS-Word
• Requires knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

Nice To Haves

• MS-Access a plus
• AI a plus
• Basic working knowledge of the SAP environment a plus.
• Design management experience in reviewing models, drawings, and Bills of Material a plus.
• Experience working with sheet metal parts and plastics a plus.
• Understanding of basic refrigeration, a plus
• Experience automating processes in Excel or some programing language a plus

Responsibilities

• Project coordination responsibility of taking designs through the cross functional approval and change implementation from concept to production.
• Coordinate the efforts of drafters/designers, engineering technicians and machine shop personnel as required by assigned projects.
• Design and/or redesign products to develop new products, improve performance, and/or reduce cost while meeting regulatory requirements (UL, ASHRAE).
• Design products for Manufacturability, Assembly and Reliability.
• Modify existing designs to improve cost positions.
