Requirements

  • Knowledge of Software: Microsoft Office Suite (Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) – as applied to Engineering Systems
  • Autodesk Inventor (PDM)
  • Product Data Management system (i.e., Lawson/M3,Business Central)
  • AutoCAD 2D
  • Knowledge of Materials, Mechanical Components and their use
  • Knowledge of Basic Mechanical systems
  • Hydraulic and Pneumatic power and motion systems
  • Mechanical/Electric drives
  • Skills: Computer/Technical
  • Written and Oral Communication
  • Analytical
  • Project/Process Management
  • Clerical/Secretarial
  • Ability to deal with abstract and concrete variables, as well as have a high level of creative thinking
  • Competence in the mechanics of Solids, Stress/Strain Calculations
  • Ability to do Hand/Paper calculations, as well as automated processes
  • Understanding and desire to work within an environment of Continuous Improvement
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Bachelors degree required

Responsibilities

  • Mechanical Design (Small Assemblies Modeling and Design)
  • Modeling and 2D detailing
  • Developing large assemblies
  • I-parts Item Master generation (Part Numbers) and Product Structure creation (Bills of Materials)
  • Engineering Change Requests (ECR), processing and response
  • Engineering Change Orders (ECO), processing and response
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge
  • Contribute to mechanical engineering effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing directives.
  • Contribute to team effort
  • Travel up to 3-5% to support sales efforts.
