This Field Support role is designed to build practical knowledge of Field Service activities and can serve as a pipeline for future Field Service opportunities. The position involves working on-site in Greenville and traveling to customer sites for field support. This role requires working safely in a fast-paced team environment, meeting production schedules, and producing quality work.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
1-3 Years of Mechanical & Electrical Experience
Genuine interest in helping the customer and solving their problems
Strong work ethic, drive to succeed, customer service orientation
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Valid Driver’s License

Associate's degree in a related field

Responsibilities

Understand equipment assembly functions
Read and utilize calipers and a multimeter
Understand basic electricity and cable sizes
Read and understand blueprints, electrical symbols, and electrical schematics
Understand the inner workings of pneumatic valves
Troubleshoot and find the root cause of issues, thinking logically about solutions
Diagnose machine diagnostics, functionality, and equipment testing
Use critical thinking skills to diagnose problems and repair issues effectively
Multitask, identifying and executing priority tasks
Utilize an array of electrical tooling (strippers, crimpers, terminal torque wrenches)
Understand AC/DC circuits and Ohm’s Law
Provide excellent customer service and support during field visits
Tie workflow to schedules to ensure maximum efficiency
Satisfy customer needs by making appropriate recommendations and using appropriate field automation systems, procedures, and protocols
Travel up to 20%-25% with a valid Driver’s License, including commercial air travel
Provide daily reports when supporting field activities
Submit expense reports in accordance with ITW Hartness Travel Policy
